Twin City Liner is a fast catamaran specifically built by Båtservice Mandal for serving between Vienna and Bratislava on the Danube river. The vessel has a service speed of app. 32 knots or 60 km/h which allows Twin City Liner to go from city center to city center within 75 minutes.
Due to the success of Twin City Liner a sistership has been ordered, a new terminal facility in Vienna is under construction. In May 2007 Twin City Liner ran aground but could resume operation only two days after the incident. A similar incident happened in July 2009 and again service could be resumed after only two days since the damage to the vessel was negligible. For more information on Twin City Liner visit www.magwien.gv.at, www.visit.bratislava.sk or this German wikipedia page. A promotional video is available at www.youtube.com. In Vienna Twin City Liner leaves and arrives at 'Schiffstation Wien City' near Schwedenplatz. 2010 a new terminal was open: PHOTOS OF SCHIFFSTATION WIEN CITY
